FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Good to know.

Can't find your answer? Email hello@pinkmobile.uk.

What is an eSIM?

A digital SIM built into your phone. You scan a QR code instead of inserting a plastic card, and your usual SIM stays where it is.

When does my plan start?

The first time it connects to a network in a country your plan covers. Installing it at home does not start the clock.

Can I keep my own number?

Yes. Keep your usual line on for calls and texts and set the Pink line for mobile data. Turn off data roaming on your usual line so your home network doesn't charge you.

Can I visit several countries on one eSIM?

Yes. Regional plans cover every country in that region, and the Worldwide eSIM covers all our destinations. The trip planner shows the cheapest option for your route.

Do plans include calls and texts?

Pink Global plans are data only. Use WhatsApp, FaceTime or your usual number for calls. Every plan includes hotspot.

What if I run out of data?

Top up from your Pink account. Your eSIM stays installed and the new data arrives in minutes.

Can I get a refund?

Once your eSIM is delivered we can't refund it, because you asked for it straight away and waived the 14-day cancellation period. If it's faulty and we can't fix it, we'll refund you.

My eSIM installed but there's no data.

Open your phone's mobile settings, pick the Pink line for mobile data, and turn on data roaming for that line. Then restart your phone. Data roaming on the Pink line is free; it's what lets the eSIM use local networks.

Can I move my eSIM to a new phone?

Most eSIMs can only be installed once. If you change phone, email us before deleting the old eSIM and we'll help.

Will I be charged by my home network?

Not by us. To avoid charges from your usual network abroad, turn off data roaming on your usual line and keep it on only for calls and texts if you need them.
